DotA 2 tournament is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed by the Valve Corporation. The game has been released as a stand-alone sequel to Defense of the Ancients, which was an unofficial mod for Blizzard Entertainment’s Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion pack, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Players are formed into two teams that consist of five players, with both teams occupying their own base on the map. Even each of the ten players independently controls a powerful character, known as a “hero”, who all have different skills and abilities. DotA 2 tournament has become one of the most popular games in the world, and was called the most played game on Steam – a digital distribution platform developed by Valve Corporation.
DotA 2 tournament is all about teamwork and communication, as without your teammates you won’t be able to gain an type of an advantage over the enemy team. There are many maps, each of which have different objectives depending on the game mode chosen. In the All Pick gamemode, players have to choose from a total of 110 different heroes in order to find their favorite characters and strategize on how they can win the battle with them. There are many ways in which a match could end – most commonly when one team destroys the ancient within each base, but also when one team decides to forfeit the game. Each hero has six different attributes – Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Support, Armor and Damage. These are also known as the “Hero stats” or the “Hero Attributes”. They all have advantages over each other but they can’t do anything by themselves. Also its totally upon you which hero you want to play with and what role you will choose in order to suit your team’s needs. There are many different ways in which you can play DotA 2 tournament, but the most common way is to be either a Carry or a Ganker/Midlaner. Each role has its own advantages over the other and they are all necessary for the success of the game. As a Carry, your job is to farm as much gold and experience as possible. Also if you want to become stronger and eventually to win the game. This is a long and hard process, but if done right it can be very rewarding and fun at the same time. Talking about structure of Dota 2 tournaments:-
DotA 2 tournament might look like a very complicated game at first, but it is actually not that difficult to learn. The most important aspect of DotA 2 is teamplay, as individuals are nothing without the help of their teammates. Eventually you will be able to know all heroes by heart, and understand what items work best for each character – which in turn will make you a better player and eventually the best on your team.
Since DotA 2 tournament is such a complex game, it is very hard to summarize all of its features in just 500 words. Talking about the most important thing I would like to stress, however, is that DotA 2 requires strategy and communication between individuals in order to be victorious. I focused on DotA 2 because I believe it is the best MOBA game out there, and is not very difficult to learn. Although if you are looking for a fun game with many players then DotA 2 might be for you!
